PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (AS AMENDED) NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT

Claremount, Oughterard, Co. Galway

Pursuant to the requirements of Section 1 77AE(4)(a) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) notice is hereby given that Galway County Council proposes to seek approval from An Bord Pleanála to carry out the following development at Claremount, Oughterard, Co. Galway, in the townland of Claremount.

Nature of Development: To construct a 4 no. unit housing development at Claremount, Oughterard, Co. Galway. The proposed development will comprise of 4 no. single storey, 2 bed dwellings. The proposed works also include for car parking, hard and soft landscaping, site clearance works, roads, footways, public lighting, connections to existing services and all ancillary site development works.

A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development. An Bord Pleanála 'may give approval for the development with or without conditions or may refuse the application for development.

A copy of the plans and particulars including The Natura Impact Statement will be available for inspection or for purchase for a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, during normal office hours (Monday to Friday. 9.30am —4.00pm, excluding Bank Holidays and Public Holidays and subject to managed access arrangements due to Covid-19 control measures) for a minimum period of 6 weeks from Monday 20th December 2021 until Monday the 7th of February 2022, at the following location:

Submissions or observations may be made to An Bord Pleanála on the proposed development in relation to:

  • The implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development in the area concerned,
  • The likely effects on the Environment of the proposed development, and
  • The likely significant effects of the proposed development on European Site if carried out.

A person may question the validity of a decision of the Bord by way of an application for judicial review, under Order 84 of the rules of the Superior Counts (S.l No 15 of 1986) in accordance with section 50 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended).
