This advertisement is to notify of public consultation concerning: PEDESTRIAN CROSSING AT N59 - L5124 CLIFDEN Under Section 38 of the 1994 Road Traffic Act, a Road Authority may in the interest of the safety and convenience of road users provide such traffic calming works as it considers desirable in respect of a public road in its charge. Galway County Council proposes to implement a Pedestrian Crossing at the following location: • N59 – L5124 – Clifden
The works will involve installation of; a zebra pedestrian crossing, raised table, shared cyclist pedestrian facilities, road surface with associated belisha beacons, lighting, skid resistant surfacing, road markings and signage. Drawings indicating the proposed works are available online on https://consult.galway.ie/ and may also be inspected, during normal working hours, from Thursday 9th July 2026 to Thursday 23rd July 2026 at: Galway County Council, NRPO Office, City East Business Park, Ballybrit, Galway H91 KT67.
