This is the local Consultative Committee in the Carna/Cill Chiaráin area of Connemara that is working with Údarás na Gaeltachta on the 5 year re-generation plan for this area. We have worked together over the last two years putting together our needs, ideas and plans for the area in order for the new County Development Plan to be implemented the best possible way so that our own Development Plan fits into and works with the County Plan.

We are an area in Connemara that has serious unemployment with a lack of industry and enterprise which has a devastating affect on our communities basic needs. We strongly urge the council and all involved with the county plan to look favourable and understand our concerns for the future of our area from a social, economic and community perspective please.
