I would like to make a submission in relation to land zoning in the Headford area as part of the Draft Galway County Development plan 2022 – 2028. I am pleased that the lands to the south of Headford Livestock Mart, marked with X on the attached map, have been rezoned to Community Facilities (CF) form Business and Enterprise (BE). I feel that the inclusion of these lands in the development plan as CF will help to develop facilities that will be of benefit to sports clubs, schools and community groups in the area. Ultimately the use of these lands as CF will help to deliver services for the Headford Area which enhance the economic, social and cultural life of the citizens.
