14.1 Dunmore Small Growth Village

Dear Sirs, with reference to the above, I would like to make the following comments, however, they only relate to the area Dunmore/Tuam area.

  1. Galway C C  do not appear to look at this area of the county, we all pay out property tax, as there appears so much is left undone.
  2. Roads, the road between Dunmore and Tuam still has traffic lights for almost 3 years, and still you have not widened the road.
  3. Dunmore High Street, still has a very narrow road, where we understood you would widen by demolishing one side of the road, from the square to the bridge, still that has not been done, with up to 30+ 20 ton trucks to and from the quarries, plus tractors, there are many near misses.
  4. Tuam requires a good number of old shops to be cleaned up and make the town look like is takes care of its self and attract tourists, but no, some of the shops are about to fall down.
  5. Tuam, outside of Lidl, you should make it Turn Left only, and for drivers to use the roundabout to get back to Tuam, traffic is such at times, anyone wanting to turn right can hold up many motorists trying to get out of the supermarket.
  6. Dunmore could also do with better bus connections
  7. What happened to the by pass that was proposed for Dunmore?

Many thanks
