Draft Galway County Development Plan 2022-2028

To whom it concerns,

I would like to make a few submissions to you for upcoming CDP.

1.Chapter8 Tourism & Landscape. Item 8.12.1 Wild Atlantic Way.

In addition to the existing item i would like to add the following,

Galway County Council should be part funded by Failte Ireland to advance the services along the Wild Atlantic Way route in the county which is 300km long.These services include, Picnic areas, Rubbish bins, Toilets, and also assist in funding for hedges and roads as traffic has increased immensely.

2.Marine& Coastal Management. Item 9.9 Aquaculture& Fishing.

Paragraph 2.Last sentence to be changed to

The development and maintenance of Harbours, Piers and associated infrastructure will be prioritised to ensure the continued development of the industry.

3.Chapter 6 Transport& Movement.Paragraph6.5.5 Harbours ,Piers ,Slipways.

Give slipways a separate identity and plan as they are a serious Health& Safety issue if not attended yearly.(I.E A contract).
