My name is Aidan Clarke from Clarke Construction Design. We are Consultant Engineers and Planning agents and I am representing my client Declan Gardiner who own lands in Briarhill currently highlighted as Residential phase 2 but we feel it would be more beneficial to the area as Residential phase 1.

In relation to the release of the draft County Development plan for review and submission. My client Declan Gardiner owns a section of lands in Briarhill which I have highlighted on the attached maps. Map 1 is an OSI map and the land in question is outlined in Red and marked “A” this land measures 0.9777 hectares and on the attached map 2 extract from Galway Metropolitian Area Briarhill, these lands are zoned Phase 2 Residential which I have outlined in Blue and hatched blue. My client is asking Galway County Council to consider rezoning this portion of lands Residential Phase 1 due to its location and proximity to the lands highlighted for zoning Phase 1 and Nodal Centre as it would square up this plot of ground and make these combined lands more desirable for future housing.
