Notice of Making of the

Galway County Development Plan 2022-2028
 

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 12(12) of the Planning and Development Act 2000(as amended) that the Galway County Development Plan 2022-2028 was adopted by the Elected Members of Galway County Council at the conclusion of the Special Meeting on the 9th of May 2022 and came into effect on the 20th of June 2022.

The County Development Plan is a statutory document prepared by the Planning Authority in accordance with the requirements of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended) and the Planning & Development Regulations 2001 (as amended).

Ministers Direction Pursuant to Section 31

Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 31 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) (“the Act”), and consequent to a recommendation made to him by the Office of the Planning Regulator under section 31AN(4) of the Act issued a Direction to Galway County Council on matters relating to the Galway County Development Plan 2022-2028 dated 28 September, 2022. Consequently, all zonings, policy objectives and additional provisions which were the subject of the Direction will be amended accordingly. A copy of the Direction is also contained in Appendix 11 of the County Development Plan.
